About The Role
As a Senior Associate or Manager in the Brisbane Forensic Accounting team, you will work on a broad range of forensic engagements with a primary focus on Dispute Advisory assignments. You will have the opportunity to develop your career while working with a motivated team on complex and interesting cases.
Recent Project Examples Include
* Assessment of loss and damage for class action proceedings
* Valuation of minority interest in large Queensland-based manufacturer for Shareholder Oppression proceedings
* Assessment of economic loss in large insurance litigation claims
* Complex valuations for family law and estate disputes
* Dispute resolution for retail chain acquisition
* Multi-year transaction review for misreporting and alleged fraud investigation
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advice on diverse forensic engagements, including:
* Business valuations
* Commercial loss and damage claims
* Insurance events
* Accounting reviews and investigations
* Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships
* Provide trusted expert advice to clients
* Conduct detailed review and analysis of business financial performance
* Research and analyze business, industry and economic data
* Participate in business development and practice management activities
* Provide coaching, mentoring and training to team members
Required Skills And Experience
* CA/CPA/CFA qualification
* Significant forensic accounting experience, preferably in public practice
* Experience preparing valuation reports and/or commercial loss and damage reports for disputes
* Strong analytical skills with lateral and critical thinking capability
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
