Reporting to the Substation Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of substation activities for the effective management of personnel and equipment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and implement substation programs, and activities;
Review Daily Reports on substation parameters for approval and recommend appropriate measures;
Closely monitor and evaluate performance and reliability of all substation equipment through trending analysis based on test history;
Prepare Incident Report and Root Cause Analysis;
Identify areas for improvement and formulate recommendations for the repair and upgrade of existing substation facilities;
Maintain plans, manuals and other IMS documents pertaining to substation operation;
Coordinate with the Systems Operations group, Planning and Engineering group, and other concerned units on substation-related matters;
Preside / participate in pre-maintenance, coordination and toolbox meetings for scheduled shutdowns;
Supervise switching procedures during planned maintenance or shutdown of substation equipment and transmission lines;
Participate in the installation, upgrading and commissioning of substation equipment;
Monitor administration workflow and constantly identify areas of opportunity for process improvement;
Oversee unit deliverables and ensure that commitments and targets are realized in accordance with the approved plan, budget and timeline.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering;
Registered Electrical Engineer;
At least 3 years of relevant experience in Substation Operation;
English and Filipino literate;
Good leadership and management skills;
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and MS Office;
Ability to read and interpret various schematic diagrams.
