Cafe Lewi is looking for a talented and reliable Casual Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will help prepare and deliver high-quality dishes for our customers while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Days you would be required to work are Tuesday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Thursday
Responsibilities:
* Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation meet Café Lewi's standards.
* Menu Execution: Follow recipes and food specifications accurately to prepare various dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
* Cleanliness and Organisation: Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area, ensuring that all kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
* Assist with Inventory Management: Help monitor ingredient levels, assist with stock rotation, and alert the Owners or Café Manager when supplies need replenishing.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure the kitchen operates safely and complies with health regulations.
* Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, including the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
* Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all dishes served meet the highest quality standards and contribute to an outstanding customer dining experience.
* Flexible Hours: Be available to work a variety of shifts, evenings, depending on the café's needs.
