The Role:
We are currently growing our support to people in the community within the NDIS space, and are keen to appoint an NDIS Employment Coach based in either our Midland site or Mirrabooka site.This role will require the candidate to work across our Perth sites and within the community to support participants in progressing toward and achieving their employment-related goals. The successful candidate will deliver services on behalf of the Organisation's NDIS funded employment services – these services include School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES), and Finding and Keeping a Job. A fundamental part of the role as NDIS Employment Coach will be supporting and mentoring NDIS Participants to overcome their barriers and build capacity that assists them on their pathway to further education or employment by developing and implementing individualised plans. As an NDIS Employment Coach, you will also be expected to collaborate closely with our Work Force Connect brand at expos and other business development initiatives to promote and support the organisation's needs.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Knowledge and experience delivering person-centered supports
* A professional, outcome-focused approach to supporting NDIS Participant plans and building capacity to gain and maintain education and employment
* Working knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards
* Highly developed time management, organisational skills along with advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to provide support services both over the phone and face to face
* Ability to travel across sites
* Demonstrated ability to meet compliance requirements and maintain professional boundaries regarding participant and family/career expectations
* Experience working with disadvantaged people within the community who may have disabilities, are young, and/or may be people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in their employment related goals
* Strong computer skills in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet, and database systems
* Build on current advanced communication, interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills
* A current drivers license (essential) and own transport
