Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Underground Drill and Blast Engineer to join our Technical Services teams across Northern and Southern Operations. The role involves the completion of drilling plans, charging plans, and tele remote plans for underground bogging activities.
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering (mining preferred) and at least 2 years' experience in UG Mine Engineering. They should also possess knowledge of Deswik UGD and have previous exposure to underground drill and blast practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Completion of drilling plans aligned with 13-week schedule
* Creation of charging plans
* Development of tele remote plans for underground bogging activities
* Preparation of short-term weekly schedules
* Assumption of responsibilities as Ventilation Officer (if required)
* Completion of Primary and Secondary Ventilation Surveys in accordance with WA Mine regulations
* Adherence to Project Operation Safety Plan (POSP)
* QA/QC duties to ensure safety and productivity of drill and blast activities underground
* Highlighting key activities and critical path processes of budgets, forecasts, and weekly plans
* Tracking operational performance of key indicators and reporting to management
* Management and administration of contractor database systems (Plodtrack and Livemine)
* Management of ad-hoc projects as directed by the Senior Mining Engineer and Underground Manager
* Proposal and implementation of business improvement initiatives
* Proposal and participation in process improvements within the organization
