The Transition to Specialist Practice in Perioperative Nursing program, offered at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, is a 12-month program that will provide you with a supported and valuable opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in the unique and rewarding area of perioperative nursing.
* Fixed Term Part Time contract 0.8 minimum hours per fortnight, opportunities for ongoing / Permanent employment
* Commence in February 2026
* Clinical experiences provided will include Gynaecology, Uro-gynaecology, Gynae-oncology, Reproductive Medicine, Endo-surgery, Obstetrics, Anaesthetics, Post Anaesthetic and Day Surgery nursing
* The Transition to Specialist Practice in Perioperative Nursing Course @ Mercy Hospital for Women will ensure successful applicants have the necessary skills and knowledge to work across all aspects of perioperative nursing and will provide a solid foundation for future post graduate perioperative studies and nursing practice
What you'll bring
* Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Minimum 12 months recent post graduate acute nursing experience
* Your position is dependent on your agreement to commence Transition to Specialist Practice in Perioperative Nursing program
* Applicants are required to be an Australian Citizen or have Australian Permanent Residency
* Be able to work a minimum of 64 hours per fortnight
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
