Vinocor is the specialist manufacturer and market leader in the supply of cork stoppers across Australia and New Zealand. Our cork finishing facility based in Lonsdale, is considered the benchmark in the Southern Hemisphere, ensuring consistent and superior in bottle performance. Partnering with elite manufacturers in Europe, we have the unique ability to produce and supply the full range of cork closures available globally.
Following a resurgence in demand for cork in the Australian wine industry, the business continues to expand to the point we now have multiple entry level roles. We are looking for motivated and reliable Entry-Level Operations Assistants to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn a wide range of skills across the entire Operations including Production, Warehouse and Laboratory.
No previous experience or qualifications are required – just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to follow instruction(s).
What you'll do
* Production tasks: centered around the start and end of the production process. Issuing stock into work in progress, packing into bags and boxes ready for despatch;
* Warehouse: picking, packing, and organising orders for despatch. Forklift and manual unloading of containers, receiving stock into SAP, sampling incoming goods and stocktaking;
* Laboratory; measuring and recording key cork performance attributes to determine compliance with specifications, examples include moisture levels and extraction force. Setting up and packing down sensory analysis jars;
* Keep work areas tidy and ensure compliance with GMP;
* Actively participate in WHS culture and ensuring safety is at the forefront of all decisions;
* Adhere to Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions detailed in our Food Safety Quality Management System;
* Work with supervisors to learn new skills across different departments;
* Jump in wherever needed – this is a true all-rounder role
