Maintenance Welder/Boilermaker needed for heavy industrial plant maintenance and fabrication work.

Your new company
A well‑established organisation operating within a heavy industrial environment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Welder/Boilermaker to join their site‑based maintenance team. This business is known for its strong safety culture and commitment to maintaining high standards across its plant and equipment.
Your new role
As a Maintenance Welder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the ongoing reliability, safety and performance of a diverse range of fixed and mobile plant and equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will carry out a mix of workshop‑based fabrication and site maintenance activities, contributing to preventative maintenance programs and breakdown repairs.Your responsibilities will include:

* Carrying out welding and fabrication tasks using MIG, Stick, TIG and Oxy welding techniques
* Performing repairs and maintenance on heavy vehicles, mobile plant and fixed plant equipment
* Conducting inspections, rebuilds and repairs to components and structural assets
* Completing preventative maintenance in line with scheduled maintenance plans
* Hard facing, component repairs and general fabrication works
* Supporting mobile maintenance activities as required
* Maintaining a strong safety focus during all hot works and maintenance tasks
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Trade qualification as a Boilermaker (Cert III Engineering – Fabrication) or equivalent
* Proven welding experience in a heavy industrial or fixed plant environment
* Experience working around heavy machinery and plant equipment
* White Card
* A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
* The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
* Physical capability to perform manual tasks in varying conditions
* Tickets such as EWP, Working at Heights and forklift licences will be highly regarded.
