**6 Month Contract + potential to extend**
**Pay: $346 / day + super**
**Location: ACT Canberra**
**WFH/Onsite Requirements: Combination (1-2 days in office, 3-4 days work from home)**
The position will deliver effective, well-evidenced and targeted community and stakeholder engagement activities, and work collaboratively across the agency to develop and deliver the right information to the right audience at the right time.
**Under limited direction you will**:
- Draft communications and engagement strategies and campaign materials to effectively inform target audiences and engage stakeholders.
- Draft written documentation such as web text, social media content, reports, briefs, submissions, and guidelines.
- Draft effective briefings for senior leaders, Ministers and Executive.
- Understand and put into practice contemporary engagement practices and techniques.
- Contribute to the evaluation of your projects and insights to inform activity and ongoing improvement.
- Work collaboratively across the agency to deliver key activities.
- Provide support to undertake media and social media monitoring, evaluation and reporting of engagement activities.
- Organise and attend consultation and information activities and analyse and communicate results - both face-to-face and online.
**About you**:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing high quality integrated communications and/or engagement strategies and campaigns
- Demonstrated ability to take an audience-first lens to your work, informed by research, insights and evaluation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of issues management and an ability to meet deadlines amid competing priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex topics in plain English for a variety of audiences.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and two years' experience working professionally in the fields of strategic engagement, strategic communications, media or public relations is preferred.
