Job Description: Warehouse & Packaging Assistant
About Wallaby
We exist to do good, better—one can at a time.
Wallaby began with a simple idea: fresh Australian spring water, no plastic.
What started in Melbourne as a bold response to waste has grown into a movement—millions of bottles replaced, wildlife supported, and packaging reimagined.
Today, we produce still and sparkling spring water in infinitely recyclable aluminium, partnering with purpose-led brands and retailers across Australia and the world.
About the Role
Our bottling plant is the beating heart of Wallaby—driven by a team that's hands-on, hardworking, and committed to doing things the right way while continually learning.
This is a full-time operational role starting in mid-September, where you'll keep production running smoothly and help us grow our impact.
From prepping production runs and packing orders to maintaining a spotless plant and making deliveries, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operations humming.
While the role is primarily operational, there's plenty of room to grow—offering exposure to machinery, maintenance, production, and manufacturing knowledge.
You'll join the team to:
Pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch
Maintain high hygiene standards across the bottling plant, equipment, and warehouse
Support the bottling and canning operations to ensure we keep production moving on time and to a high standard
Organise the warehouse and materials according to the production schedule
Maintain accurate records of inventory and materials to keep stock levels on track
Assist with packaging and production processes
Deliver orders to our customers across Melbourne, ensuring the very best Wallaby experience through efficient logistics, safe handling, and excellent communication
About You
You may come from a brewery, bottling, distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing background—or simply enjoy physical, hands-on work and want to build a career in operations-led manufacturing.
You'll bring:
A friendly manner and strong communication skills
A solid work ethic and eagerness to learn new systems and processes
A full driver's licence (forklift licence is a bonus)
Experience in warehouse, logistics, or coffee production (advantageous)
Any trade, technical, or mechanical experience (highly regarded)
Working at Wallaby
In addition to great company culture, we offer some nice staff perks, including:
Unlimited free product while at work, plus weekly take-home cans and bottles
Wellbeing allowances of up to $200 per year to spend as you wish
Yearly remuneration reviews
An unbeatable opportunity to help build a growing manufacturing business on the world stage, and to develop production skills in a growing team
Diversity at Wallaby
Wallaby is committed to being an inclusive organisation where all people feel valued, respected, and engaged.
We pledge a commitment to:
Building an inclusive team and community that represents all groups in society
Empowering our people to improve the way we work and promote equity continuously
Removing barriers and the influence of bias
Creating a safe environment where we're encouraged to speak out against discrimination in any form
Cultivating a sense of belonging by encouraging our people to bring their whole selves to work fearlessly
