The Group Accountant is responsible for the financial reporting, management reporting and compliance requirements for Flex Fitness Equipment and Shah Group.
The role ensures timely and accurate financial information is provided to management to support strategic decision making.
The Group Accountant reports directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts for the operating entity within the group, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Preparing quarterly consolidated management accounts for the Group.
Develop and maintain reports explaining the operational performance of the Group, with clear alignment to the Group's profitability.
Monitor and ensure compliance with tax and other regulatory requirements, and act as a key liaison with external tax accountants.
Aid in the development and lead implementation accounting policies and procedures, and internal controls, to improve efficiency and compliance.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Group, and conduct variance analysis.
Mentor and support finance team members within the Group.
Key Selection Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, or equivalent), or significant progress towards such a qualification, is essential.
Minimum 2–4 years' experience in a similar role, either as a consultant or within industry.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Managing Director/Directors;
To provide timely and accurate financial and management information to enable a clear understanding of financial performance and position, and to support decision making.
Finance Team:
To lead and mentor colleagues within the Finance Team, providing guidance and assistance where required and ensuring workflow in maintained to meet reporting dates.
External Advisors:
To work with external advisors in the preparation of external annual account, tax lodgements and other related activities.

Location
This position is based in in the Perth Head Office located in Wangara, with travel to group sites as required.
