The Role
The City of Launceston has created a new Strategic Land Use & Infrastructure Planning Team to lead big-picture, long term planning for how and where the city develops.
The team is recruiting for another Senior Strategic Land Use Planner or Urban Designer to work on diverse projects including:

o City Skyline Study - design guidelines and planning provisions
*
o Medium Density Housing Review
*
o Key sites urban design analysis and precinct plans
*
o Future neighbourhood (structure) plans
The team is looking for a passionate Planner/Designer who will work well in a team and be a project management champion with a strong focus on relationships and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a background in strategic planning in local or state government or consulting. Alternatively, we are also open to Urban Designers with a planning background. Tasmanian experience would be a bonus; however, the team is open to candidates from other jurisdictions.
The salary range for this role is up to $113k % super with a 19-day month work pattern.
