Capital Chemist has been part of the Canberra community since 1978 and has grown into a network of almost 50 pharmacies across the ACT, NSW and Tasmania.
Behind the scenes, our Capital Chemist Support Office (CCSO) team supports our pharmacies to operate at a high level - commercially, operationally and for the communities they serve. We're a close-knit, high-performing team that values being practical, collaborative, supportive and easy to work with.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Pharmacy Operations Associate to join our CCSO Pharmacy Operations Team, based on the Kingston Foreshore.
This is not your typical desk-based Head Office role.
You'll split your time between the office, working from home, and visiting pharmacies across our network while helping pharmacy teams improve operations, support compliance, roll out initiatives, and lift performance across the group.
This role could suit:

You'll work closely with our Chief Pharmacist and CCSO Pharmacy Operations Team, gaining exposure to operational leadership across a large pharmacy network.
What You'll Be Doing
* Visiting pharmacies across the network to support operational performance and consistency
* Conducting operational and brand audits, and helping pharmacy teams implement improvements
* Coordinating, designing and delivering operational training with the CCSO Pharmacy Operations Team
* Working closely with the Chief Pharmacist and Pharmacy Operations Team on the scoping and roll out of key strategic initiatives.
* Preparing clear, practical written communications and operational material for pharmacies
* Identifying operational risks, issues and opportunities for improvement
* Building strong relationships with pharmacy owners, managers and teams across the network.
About You
You're practical, adaptable and enjoy working with people. You have a keen eye for detail, communicate clearly, build relationships easily, and are comfortable having respectful but honest conversations that help teams improve.
You're highly organised, self-directed, and confident working independently while travelling regularly across the network.
Most importantly, you want to build a long-term career in pharmacy operations and leadership.
You'll likely bring:
* Qualifications in pharmacy, health science or a related field
* Community pharmacy experience or exposure to pharmacy operations
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence building effective working relationships across different teams
* A proactive, collaborative and adaptable mindset
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confidence working independently and travelling regularly
* A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across the network
