About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist diabetes services, including educational services and therapeutic direct and indirect clinical care.
* The successful candidate will work collaboratively to deliver person-centred, clinical care to service users.
* Maintenance of advanced clinical skills and knowledge within clinical specialty is essential, as well as strong clinical leadership and acting as a role model within speciality.
* The ideal candidate will also act as a clinical advisory resource and develop activities and projects within clinical discipline to participate in and contribute to research.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide safe, effective, person-centred clinical care to people affected by diabetes.
* Work collaboratively to deliver person-centred, clinical care to service users.
* Maintain advanced clinical skills and knowledge within clinical speciality, demonstrating strong clinical leadership, and acting as a role model within speciality.
* Act as a clinical advisory resource and develop activities and projects within clinical discipline to participate in and contribute to research.
Requirements:
* A current Registered Nurse Division 1 registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* A postgraduate qualification in Diabetes Education.
* Membership with a specific speciality association and/or nursing professional body.
* Strong consultation and collaboration skills, as well as proven leadership within the healthcare workforce.
