Leussink Engineering, located in Wollongong NSW, is a world leading precision engineering company with the latest technology CNC Machining & Fabrication equipment, design tools and a great range of specialised, productivity enhancing engineering equipment. We're currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our leadership group.
The position offers varied and exciting design engineering work on mining, heavy industrial, transport, defence and other large, critically important equipment. This includes; reverse engineering, using state-of-the-art in-house metrology equipment; design of new and replacement mining/industrial components; and full design and management of products and systems.
You'll be the \"go-to\" person on all matters concerning engineering and other technical matters. You'll work closely with all areas of the business, including sales and the manufacturing team which has sophisticated and modern milling, turning and fabrication facilities.
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with the following key attributes & skills:
* Professional mechanical engineering qualifications preferably with metal machining experience;
* Experience in component design in rail, mining & industrial applications;
* Skilled in the use of SolidWorks as a design tool;
* Attention to detail - a key focus in design, QA pre-manufacture 7 final inspections;
* Skilled in the use of reverse engineering CMM metrology equipment (measuring arms);
* Mentoring/coaching/managing interns/graduates & other inexperienced technical personnel;
