The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is the Australian government agency responsible for trade promotion and investment attraction globally. Austrade's Global Engagement Advisers (GEAs) work with the onshore Trade team, overseas Posts across 50+ markets and external partners to deliver initiatives that help Australian businesses to grow and diversify their exports.
GEAs provide the Trade team with professional support to deliver against Austrade's Trade strategy including by managing projects, conducting research, coordinating events, liaising with government and industry stakeholders and contributing to marketing and communications activities.
Responsibilities
Work with experts across Austrade, and its partners, to contribute to programs and initiatives that help Australian businesses to grow and diversify their exports, including by coordinating delivery of events and assisting to deliver programs for international buyers visiting Australia.
Establish and maintain relationships within Austrade and its stakeholders that contribute to the effective delivery of work objectives.
Contribute to marketing and communications activities, including capturing success stories and preparing social media posts.
Conduct research and work with overseas Posts to capture and report on market and industry trends that are creating opportunities for Australian exporters.
Maintain client records in Austrade's CRM system and other software as relevant.
Contribute to business reporting and governance activities.
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years of experience in business development, international business, project management, marketing and communications, industry or government roles.
Knowledge about the AgriFood, Energy, Infrastructure or Green Economy sectors would be highly regarded.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team to deliver against organisational and program objectives.

Salary: $101,322 - $110,006

Eligibility: Australian citizenship – the successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
Security clearance: the successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a security clearance.
