Accounts Receivable Officer - Canberra
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality treasury and accounts receivable services in a Federal Government department.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing daily drawdowns, reconciliations, and debt collection activities. They will also be responsible for providing technical advice on Treasury Management and Accounts Receivable matters.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily drawdowns via financial systems and oversee account functions.
* Complete monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records.
* Manage invoicing, debt collection, and accounts receivable activities.
* Provide technical advice on Treasury Management and Accounts Receivable matters.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation and governance frameworks.
* Support end-of-month processes including reconciliations, journals, and reporting.
* Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and updates to policies and procedures.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, providing timely and factual advice.
Requirements
* Experience:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable and Treasury functions.
* Skills:
* Sound knowledge of financial legislation and governance frameworks.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Experience with financial systems and tools.
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A continuous improvement mindset and ability to implement changes in processes.
