About the Role
Ready to make a real impact in a high-stakes environment? Belmont Hospital is looking for a reliable and committed Health and Security Assistant to join our team. In this dual-purpose role, you'll be at the forefront of patient and staff safety, while also playing a hands-on part in supporting clinical care. From responding to Code Black incidents to escorting patients and assisting with general cleaning duties, no two days will be the same.
In this role, you'll
Assist nursing staff with patient care and comfort
Provide security support and manage aggressive or high-risk situations
Escort and transport patients throughout the hospital
Maintain safety and cleanliness in line with hospital standards
Be a key part of our Code Black response team
About You
You're calm under pressure, clear-headed, and not afraid to step into challenging situations with confidence and care. Your security licence isn't just for show – you know how to de-escalate tension, communicate effectively, and back your team up in critical moments.
You Must Have
A current NSW security licence – Master Licence Number:
Security Licence – Unarmed Guard
A valid first aid certificate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
The ability to remain professional and compassionate – even in tough scenarios

Additional Information
An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
