Job Description - Qualified Fitter Diesel Mates Contracting – Seville Grove, WA. Permanent – Full Time. Salary: $135,000 - $145,000 plus Super. About Us: At Diesel Mates, we offer a full range of Heavy-Duty Diesel Maintenance services, from HD Fitters & Sparky labor hire to Field breakdowns support.
Routine Maintenance & Shutdown Support. We understand the importance of safety, and our services are designed to ensure the integrity of your equipment meets the statutory safety requirements before being released into service. Our qualified & experienced HD Fitters & Sparkies will take care of your equipment.
We carry out routine maintenance, breakdowns support, shutdown support and equipment diagnosis. Our experienced HD Fitters & Sparkies are on call and can respond to any Mechanical or Electrical emergency at short notice. As we are rapidly expanding, we are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Carry out Scheduled maintenance and field breakdowns on Heavy mobile mining and construction equipment such as Dozers, Graders, Dump trucks, excavators, drills, loaders, and road trucks across different mine sites in WA.
* Carry out mobile equipment component change outs and scheduled services.
* Carry out Hydraulic and Electrical systems troubleshooting on mining mobile equipment.
* Carry out mobile equipment rebuilds, testing and commissioning on sites including diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines and equipment.
* Provide labor as required by mine sites to carry out maintenance on various mining mobile equipment.
Qualifications
* Relevant Australian qualification or Overseas equivalent
* 2-3 years' relevant work experience
* Experienced on Komatsu, and Caterpillar Equipment.
Skills and Attributes
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally heavy diesel mobile maintenance environments.
* Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Valid driver\'s license and ability to work flexible hours / overtime as needed
* Physical fitness to perform manual tasks (lifting, climbing, standing for periods)
* Commitment to safe work practices and site policies
