Our work spans residential, commercial, and infrastructure environments where connectivity, reliability, and precision matter. We are now seeking a Telecommunications Network Planner to support our expanding project workload and ensure seamless, efficient design and planning of telecom networks.

The Opportunity
You will be responsible for planning, analysing, and designing telecommunications network systems, ensuring network quality, compliance, and integration with emerging technologies. This is a hands‑on technical planning role requiring strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyse, plan, and design telecommunications network infrastructure across fibre, wireless, and copper systems.
2. Assess network capacity, performance, and utilisation to recommend improvements or upgrades.
3. Prepare network diagrams, design plans, and technical documentation according to industry and regulatory standards.
4. Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, signal quality, and equipment suitability.
5. Coordinate with engineering teams, installation technicians, and project managers to ensure network plans are implemented accurately.
6. Evaluate existing systems for optimisation, load balancing, and fault minimisation.
7. Model and forecast network demand based on growth trends, project requirements, and future capacity.
8. Monitor compliance with carrier standards, safety regulations, industry codes, and telecommunications legislation.
9. Provide technical advice on network architecture, equipment specifications, and design feasibility.
10. Maintain documentation on planned changes, network maps, test results, and design revisions.
Skills & Experience
1. Diploma or higher qualification in Telecommunications Engineering, ICT, Electronics, or related discipline.
2. Minimum 1-2 years' experience in network planning, telecom design, or field engineering.
3. Strong understanding of fibre, fixed wireless, and copper network technologies.
4. Proficiency in network design tools, CAD/GIS software, and documentation platforms.
5. Knowledge of standards relating to NBN, carrier networks, and telecommunications compliance.
6. Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities with excellent attention to detail.
7. Confident communicator able to collaborate with engineers, clients, and installation teams.
8. Reliable, organised, and able to meet project timelines independently.
