We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and pastry arts, with a strong understanding of various techniques and ingredients. Key Responsibilities:
* Create and develop innovative pastry recipes, including cakes, pastries, tarts, and other desserts.
* Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
* Decorate pastries and desserts with attention to detail, ensuring visual appeal and quality.
* Manage inventory and ordering of pastry ingredients to maintain stock levels and freshness.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate dessert offerings for special events and menus.
* Train and mentor junior pastry staff, sharing techniques and best practices.
* Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into the pastry menu.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
* Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry arts preferred.
* Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and baking methods.
* Creativity and a keen eye for detail in presentation and flavor profiles.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
