QualificationsMust have High School Diploma or GED.12 months experience in industrial maintenance or meet highest-level Production Assistant requirements.Must be able to identify basic mechanic tools and provide their own tools.Work well in a team environment and collaborate to maximize production requirements.Operate machines, monitor work orders, and assist in breakout areas.Participate actively in troubleshooting equipment in the area.Able to read and interpret technical manuals.Use math skills as applied to maintenance tasks.Follow verbal directives and perform routine and predictive maintenance.Communicate effectively with packaging technicians and supervisors.Assist in coordinating routine operations of packaging lines.Retain and apply learned knowledge effectively.Pass forklift training.Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Assist in training new employees.Perform tasks for 12-hour shifts, including standing and walking 90% of the time, lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, climbing ladders and stairs, stooping, kneeling, and bending to work on machines.Hear on the production floor and detect changes in machine sounds.Identify color changes and track moving objects.Perform changeovers and machine setups in the assigned area.Basic mechanical understanding to make process changes and minor repairs.Maintain standards for housekeeping and safety.Verify the quality of finished products through measurement and visual inspection, and correct issues as needed.Identify and operate all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) points on equipment.Power on, start up, and shut down all equipment in the department independently.Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical components.Basic hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills, including motor and pump replacement, seal repairs, valve cleaning, and cylinder rebuilds.Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including using a meter on non-energized components with LOTO; Arch Flash Training required.Work positively with the quality assurance team to achieve GMPs and quality standards.Be schedule-oriented, attentive to order changes to minimize scrap and maximize production.Work safely to meet deadlines, capable of working alone without supervision.
