About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our head office team on the Sunshine Coast. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys leading a team while driving process improvements and ensuring accurate, timely financial operations.
You will play a key role in overseeing the Accounts Payable function, supporting team members, and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and support the Accounts Payable team to ensure high performance and accuracy
* Oversee daily invoice processing and data entry to meet deadlines and quality standards
* Review and approve reconciliations (weekly, monthly, subcontractor, and hire accounts)
* Manage workload allocation and prioritisation within the team
* Act as the primary escalation point for complex invoice discrepancies and queries
* Liaise with sites, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
* Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and financial controls
About You
You are an experienced Accounts Payable professional with demonstrated leadership capability. You bring a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to guide a team in a high-volume environment.
You will demonstrate:
* Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, with leadership or supervisory responsibilities
* Strong reconciliation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and support stakeholders at all levels
* A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive efficiencies
