Shekinah Glory Care provides disability supports for people in our community who require them. We are currently looking for suitable support workers with experience in disability to work with NDIS participants in Canberra, Queanbeyan and Yass.
Currently, we have a handful of NDIS participants requiring support across the ACT region, including Queanbeyan and Murrumbateman.
We provide day to day supports to help people live their best lives both at home and in the community, which can mean helping out with daily tasks such as grocery's or going to appointments, to more exciting things such as taking someone to the football or to see a movie. The days are rarely the same.
To be a successful support worker, life experience is highly valued. Individuals who have experienced a mental health condition or live with a cognitive disability, as well as those who have cared for or worked with such individuals in a professional or informal capacity, are strongly encouraged to apply. Your unique experiences can make you an outstanding support worker for your community.
Requirements to be an eligible applicant:
* A current drivers license
* A working with vulnerable people card (WWVP)
* A current First Aid/ CPR certificate
* A current (within the last 6 months) Police Check
* A NDIS Screening Check (Can be completed with us)
All positions are casual, and hours can be entirely flexible based upon your availability. Shekinah Glory Care recognises we all have lives outside of work, and a strong work life balance is vital for all of our staff.
