The Opportunity
Join the Monash Animal Research Platform as an Animal Technologist and make a meaningful impact by supporting cutting‑edge research while upholding the highest standards of animal care and welfare. In this collaborative role, you will manage the care and wellbeing of laboratory animals, performing general, technical and medical procedures in adherence to established policies and ethical guidelines.
This position will oversee the health and welfare of animal colonies, maintain accurate records and ensure high standards of animal care. The role also includes addressing concerns, contributing to investigations and driving improvements to enhance animal welfare and operational efficiency. With a strong focus on teamwork and precision, your work will directly support research outcomes while maintaining the highest standards in animal care.
We are looking for candidates who have completed or are working towards a Diploma of Applied Science (Animal Technology) with relevant experience. A passion for animal care, strong organisational and communication skills and a collaborative work ethic are essential qualities for success in this role.
