About Us

Our District's Oral Health (Dental) services are provided to eligible patients at the following locations: Nepean Centre for Oral Health, Blue Mountains Hospital Dental Clinic, Hawkesbury Dental Clinic, and the Lithgow Hospital Dental Clinic. The team offers public dental services including diagnosis, restorative and preventative treatments, pain relief and dentures.
We're looking for a motivated Dental Assistant to support our clinicians and students in delivering exceptional care. In this role, you'll assist with clinical procedures, prepare dental materials, and ensure infection control and sterilisation standards are met. You'll help maintain and clean equipment, process radiographs, and accurately record dental charting. Beyond the clinic, you'll play an active role in oral health promotion and education, including participation in our Primary School Mobile Dental Program, bringing vital services to the community.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Demonstrated recent and adequate experience in chair side dental assisting with or without Certificate III in dental assisting
* Demonstrated ability to perform effective and efficient infection prevention and control procedures in all aspects of Dental Assisting
* Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting
* Effective communication written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work in a large, multidiscipline team environment
* Demonstrated excellent organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills
* Data entry experience and skills
