About the Job
We are seeking a self-motivated, independent, and passionate Senior Test Analyst to join a multidisciplinary team working on industry-leading mine automation solutions, involving hardware and software systems.
* Testing technical and functional requirements for autonomy projects.
* Creating, reviewing, and maintaining test artifacts such as test cases, scripts, reports, and plans.
* Collaborating with development, product teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure testing scope aligns with technology needs.
* Identifying and diagnosing system errors and faults, ensuring systems meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing and Verification of Requirements:
* Verifying quality of autonomy products against requirements.
* Documenting and resolving deviations.
* Completing verification with appropriate detail.
Developing and Executing Manual and Automated Tests:
* Designing manual test cases based on requirements.
* Planning automation for regression testing.
* Executing tests, recording outcomes, and reporting bugs.
* Supporting defect analysis and closure activities.
Providing Stakeholder Expertise:
* Advising on QA best practices during design and implementation.
* Participating in reviews, upskilling, and process improvements.
* Training verification teams for autonomy product maintenance.
* Based in Perth with occasional site visits for testing and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
Education:
* Tertiary qualification in IT or related field (desirable).
* ISTQB Foundation / CTFL certification.
Experience:
* 7+ years in software testing or similar roles.
* Team-oriented with flexible, collaborative communication.
* Experience testing client applications, hosted environments, and microservices.
* Automation framework experience is advantageous.
* Knowledge of test management tools and processes.
* Understanding of mining and safety-critical systems is a plus.
Skills:
* Strong in test analysis, design, execution, and closure.
* Requirement traceability expertise.
* Proficiency with Windows and Linux/Unix OS.
* Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
* Familiarity with XML and JSON message formats.
