Clinical Pharmacist Role Overview
Clinical pharmacists play a vital role in the healthcare sector, providing expert guidance and care to patients. In this Clinical Pharmacist Grade 2 position, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services. You will have opportunities to undertake credentialing for advanced scope of practice programs.
The job involves rotating through operational services, including dispensing and compounding services, as well as rotations at the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC). You will also participate in regular in-service education, journal club meetings, and support for professional development through seminars and conferences.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing Comprehensive Clinical Pharmacy Services:
* Mentoring and clinical supervision of learners at all levels, including pharmacy students, interns, residents, and other staff members
* Pharmacy and multidisciplinary team education programs and meetings
For success in this role, you should currently hold or be eligible for general registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA. Prior clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital is preferred.
