Partnering closely with government, they're undertaking a significant modernisation program accelerating cloud adoption, uplifting data platforms, and driving enterprise-wide digital transformation. You'll be part of a high-performing technology team committed to innovation and delivering trusted data solutions that directly support key services and customer experiences. They are moving away from Oracle into a Snowflake / AWS environment.
Primary Purpose of the Role
* Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines and platforms.
* Support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
* Deliver robust engineering capability to key programs and projects.
* Improve data quality, governance, and operational reliability.
* Independently resolve complex technical challenges and contribute to technical direction.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and optimise data pipelines across AWS and Snowflake environments.
* Promote automation, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement.
Tech Stack (Core Skills Required)
* AWS
* Snowflake
* Data Tools: Airflow, dbt or similar
* Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake.
* Languages & CI/CD: Python, Shell scripting, Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines.
Experience & Capabilities
* Strong engineering background with AWS + Snowflake.
* Advanced SQL, data modelling, and performance optimisation skills.
* Experience in agile and DevOps environments.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence working independently.
