About Us
Gilly's is a proud, Australian manufacturer producing premium, sustainable, surface finishes, waxes, and oils for wood and home care. We use genuine, natural and low tox materials wherever we can, to do our part for the environment and enable safer homes.
We are a family business, founded in 1983 by Gilly Stephenson. It is still run by the family today, which enables us to maintain a tight knit team with a positive culture. Gilly's products are sold in major retailers such as Bunnings, Kitchen Warehouse and many independent home/DIY outlets across Australia & New Zealand.

The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to take ownership of production in a growing, boutique FMCG-style environment. You'll oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead our small but capable production team — including scheduling, batching, filling, labelling, and materials management — while driving process improvements.
You'll report directly to the Director, working closely with the Operations Coordinator on warehouse and dispatch activities. This role suits someone who's both practical and strategic — equally comfortable on the factory floor and planning in the office.
-----------------------------------
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support and coach the daily production team (3-4 staff).
* Coordinate production meetings, daily tasking, and workflow planning.
* Manage the production schedule to meet customer demand.
* Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs with documented performance.
* Oversee raw material inventory, purchasing, and supplier coordination.
* Improve production flow, minimise downtime, and optimise use of equipment.
* Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.
-----------------------------------
About You
* Extensive experience in a production or operations leadership role.
* Proven ability to coordinate teams and manage scheduling.
* Experience in small-batch or FMCG-style manufacturing (e.g. blending, filling, packaging).
* Good understanding of production equipment – any technical knowledge a bonus.
* Experience in materials procurement & inventory management would be seen as advantageous.
* Computer literacy essential (ERP/MRP, Excel).
* Solid understanding of safety, quality, and efficiency principles.
-----------------------------------
Why You'll Love Working Here
* Be part of a growing Australian success story.
* Work directly with leadership and make an immediate impact.
* Enjoy an environment where initiative and ownership are valued.
* Help shape the systems, processes, and team culture as we scale.
* Stable, full-time role, and the opportunity to grow with us.
* We appreciate work/life balance and our workdays reflect this.
* Central location in Malaga, WA with available parking on site.
