Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service delivers a comprehensive range of public dental services across Far North Queensland through the Oral Health Service. The service forms part of Queensland Health's public oral health care system and is committed to improving access to high quality patient centred care. Services are delivered across community‐based clinics and health facilities, supporting preventive care, assessment, treatment, and emergency oral health services for both adults and children.
About your role
* Support and participate in clinical and oral health promotion initiatives that focus on the prevention of dental disease for individuals and the target population.
* Provide mentorship and supervision of dental students if required.
* Participate in quality and service delivery and improvement activities including but not exclusive to Performance and Development, Accreditation and other Quality activities, within scope of practice at the local service delivery area.
* Facilitate education and professional development of members of the oral health team.
* Liaise/interact with other members of oral health team, Hospitals and Community Health Services, and where possible, collaborate with other private and government agencies in oral health issues.
