Cevo is a born in the cloud, highly awarded, IT specialist consultancy providing a wide range of services to enterprise and government customers throughout Australia.Established in 2016, we are searching for our next Principal Consultant to join our growing team in either Sydney or Melbourne.This role will provide expert-level architecture guidance, problem-solving support, and technical mentorship to consultants while collaborating with the sales team to continue to extend and grow customer engagements
The Principal Consultant - Data role requires a broad and far-reaching expertise in data and data practices in a variety of environments including AWS.. It would be expected that a consultant in this role will be responsible for defining and championing data strategy, presales and data literacy both internally and within our customer environments.
Specific technical knowledge and tasks expected for this role include:
* Prior experience working as data engineering/databases background - ideally in a Principal Consultant or Guiding role
* A strong knowledge of AWS
* Strong experience working with Redshift, Sagemaker Studio, Snowflake
* Prior experience of leading a Data Community of Practice and associated activities
* Industry Thought leader regarding Data and Analytics including attending and presenting at events
The ideal applicant will have started their career as a DBA in large scale environments working solidly through the last 20 plus years developing their career in complex data environments and are now utilising their strong understanding of modern data frameworks such asdata mesh/data grid, with the ability to architect and design comprehensive data programs.
