Job Description for Application Maintenance - JAVA in Sydney
Java developer and support consultant Job Description:
1. Design, implement and manage continual improvements to the IT Development and Support process, with a focus on working within an Agile support environment.
2. Develop web applications using Java 8, Spring, Spring MVC, and Oracle.
3. Troubleshoot web applications hosted in Tomcat and monitor the applications using monitoring tools.
4. Experience in JIRA, Bitbucket, TeamCity, and Octopus tools.
5. Responsible for IT application support and coordinating with the offshore team, including hands-on overseeing responsibilities when needed.
6. Client-facing support and other functions related to the application environment, including Ticket Management, Service Requests, SLA management, Service management, Major Incident Management, On-call support, and other key application support activities.
Skillsets:
1. 5+ years experience, with an application development/support background, preferably in Java.
2. Strong IT management focus on Applications and SDLC.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Good to have .NET background.
