Responsibilities
* Upstream – Customer Contract Management
o Commercially execute customer head contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations, notices, milestones and entitlements are proactively managed.
o Act as the key commercial interface with customers, supporting negotiations, variations, claims and dispute resolution.
o Lead commercial strategies to protect Fluence's rights and maximise contractual outcomes.
* Downstream – Subcontractor & BoP Contract Management
o Govern the commercial performance of subcontractors, ensuring flow‐down of head contract obligations and back‐to‐back risk alignment.
o Manage subcontract negotiations, variations, claims and commercial communications.
o Oversee subcontract execution to ensure compliance, delivery performance and cost management.
* Cross‐Functional Commercial Governance
o Collaborate closely with project, legal, engineering, sales and procurement teams to maintain consistent commercial standards.
o Identify, assess and proactively manage commercial risks and opportunities across the project lifecycle.
o Support dispute resolution processes across customer and subcontractor interfaces.
o Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
* Experience managing large‐scale projects or complex commercial contracts within energy, infrastructure, engineering or construction sectors.
* Demonstrated capability in contract management for EPC, D&C or LTSA agreements.
* Proven experience in commercial negotiation and risk management.
* Strong project management understanding and commercial governance capability.
* Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and cross‐functional teams.
* Strong financial and analytical skills, including commercial reporting and cost/impact analysis.
* Experience managing both customer‐facing and subcontractor‐facing contracts in major project environments.
* Ability to autonomously manage the commercial administration of complex agreements.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including contract correspondence.
* Proactive, solutions‐focused approach with strong problem‐solving capability.
* Ability to build trusted, collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
* Domestic travel as required.
