About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Implementation Consultant to join our Dayforce Practice. You will bring expertise in implementing and optimising payroll and financial integrations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency for clients across a variety of industries.
You will be confident consulting with stakeholders at all levels within complex organisations (500–5,000 employees) and skilled in leading workshops that uncover client requirements, demonstrate best practice payroll processes and align payroll outputs seamlessly with finance systems. Experience with Dayforce Payroll and Australian payroll legislation is essential; New Zealand payroll knowledge is highly regarded.
Responsibilities
* Lead clients through all project phases, including discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and transition to BAU
* Provide best practice on payroll integration guidance based on each client's unique business requirements
* Advise on project risks, dependencies and impacts to related processes or systems
* Act as a subject matter expert in payroll and finance system integrations, ensuring end-to-end solution integrity
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislative, tax and reporting requirements in Australia (and New Zealand where applicable)
* Facilitate workshops to define payroll calculation rules, chart of accounts mapping and reporting structures
* Support post-go-live activities including payroll parallel runs, issue resolution and knowledge transfer to client teams
* Maintain accountability for deliverables, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
About you
* Dayforce Payroll experience is essential
* Proven track record in delivering end-to-end payroll implementations
* Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax rules, and compliance obligations (NZ experience desirable)
* Experience with payroll reconciliation
* GL mapping and financial reporting would be desirable
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to translate payroll requirements into scalable system solutions
* Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Comfortable working both independently and in collaborative project environments
* Continuous learner with a passion for process improvement
