The role involves operating heavy machinery, primarily Track Dozers, Wheel Loaders and Graders, in a hard rock open-cut mining environment.
* You'll contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues by actively reporting any hazards or faults with machinery.
* You'll assist in the preparation of drill patterns, clearances of new areas and maintenance of infrastructure such as haul road intersections and waste dumps.
* You'll also support loader operators to maintain optimal cycle times.
* You'll accurately record production data on daily sheets for review by the Production Supervisor.
* Maintenance of high standards of housekeeping is essential in all work areas.
* You'll identify and rectify any pre-start issues with allocated machinery.
* You'll operate machinery within specified parameters and site requirements.
* You'll participate in training opportunities and utilises fleet management systems effectively.
* You'll collaborate with other staff members in achieving our goals while adhering to best practices.
* Additional tasks may include assisting with hot seating and operating mobile equipment as required.
About This Opportunity:
* Experience in operating ancillary mining mobile plant: Track Dozers, Wheel Loaders, Graders, Rock Breakers, Excavators, Dump Trucks, and Water Carts is essential.
* Operating 200T+ Excavators in a hard rock mining production environment would be advantageous.
* You should have attention to detail and focus on preventing ore contamination when operating.
* Using fleet management systems like MineStar would be beneficial.
* You should enjoy being part of a collaborative team and contributing to shared goals.
* A flexible approach to work and willingness to help others is crucial.
* Ability to work long shifts, including nights, is necessary.
* A strong focus on safety and adherence to industry best practices is vital.
* A valid WA Driver's licence is preferred.
