About the Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities while leading continuous improvement initiatives and supporting engineering-driven solutions across the factory.
The role is highly visible on the factory floor and requires a pragmatic, decisive leadership style balanced with strong people skills.
Location: South East Melbourne
Key responsibilities
Lead and coordinate day-to-day production operations, including labour, materials and equipment utilisation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, translating ideas into practical action plans and measurable results
Identify improvement opportunities across automation, equipment capability, workflows and output monitoring
Contribute to CAPEX planning, business case development and implementation of new equipment
Monitor production KPIs related to efficiency and delivery performance, with scope to improve productivity visibility and OEE
Coach, mentor and develop Team Leaders, lifting consistency and capability across the leadership layer
Promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following
Manufacturing leadership experience within an industrial, component or technically complex environment
Strong understanding of continuous improvement and process optimisation (hands-on, not theoretical)
Experience implementing or improving systems and processes in less mature manufacturing environments
Supervisory or Team Leader management experience, with a focus on coaching and performance uplift
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background (desirable, not essential)
