With a growing footprint across enterprise programs in retail, logistics, banking, and government, we’re scaling teams to support the next wave of digital and infrastructure transformation.We are currently seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Consultant with VMware and/or GCVE (Google Cloud VMware Engine) experience to join a major client project focused on cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) solutions as part of a wider cloud transformationPlan and execute VMware-to-GCVE migrations, including sizing, assessments, and strategyIntegrate GCVE with native GCP services such as Cloud Operations, IAM, and VPC networkingProvide guidance on hybrid cloud configurations, DR, backup, and monitoringTroubleshoot GCVE environment issues, connectivity, and performanceCreate architecture documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materialsCollaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure solution qualitySkills & Experience Required2+ years in cloud consulting or GCP infrastructure rolesHands-on experience with GCVE and VMware stack (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX-T, HCX)Strong understanding of cloud networking: VPCs, VPNs, interconnects, firewallsAutomation/scripting experience (Terraform, Python) is a plusFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practicesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsBonus SkillsExperience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environmentsGCP certifications (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect) highly regardedFully remote within Australia6-month contract with likely extensionCompetitive daily rate based on experienceAbout CloudMarcCloudMarc is a fast-growing cloud and quality engineering consultancy, trusted by tier-1 clients including AusPost, Coles, and major financial institutions.
