Job Description
We’re looking for a passionate and talented Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. This is a fantastic chance for a chef ready to step up, take on leadership responsibilities, and deliver exceptional dining experiences in the heart of the Hunter Valley.
What you’ll do:
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Lead and supervise sections of the kitchen during service
- Ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and menu development
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with food safety standards
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to support team growth
Expected Hours: Full time, 38 hours per week
Location: Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort - 15 Thompsons Rd, Pokolbin NSW 2320
Salary: $75,000-$80,000 (excluding super)
