About the role

Wodonga TAFE is seeking a driven and experienced Capital Works Project Manager to lead and deliver a portfolio of capital works projects simultaneously that will transform our campus and enhance learning environments for generations to come.
Reporting to the Facilities and Infrastructure Manager, you will oversee the design, scheduling, and delivery of multiple high-impact infrastructure projects, coordinating with contractors, architects, government stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure outcomes meet Wodonga TAFE’s strategic and sustainability goals.
Selected Duties:
- Lead and deliver a number of medium to large-scale capital works projects simultaneously, ensuring all are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with Wodonga TAFE’s strategic objectives.
- Provide expert advice, progress reports, and financial updates to senior leadership, funding bodies, and government agencies for all projects under your management.
- Establish and maintain strong team-oriented relationships with government departments, architects, contractors, builders, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project delivery across the project portfolio.
- Stay abreast of industry standards, regulations, and legislative requirements, ensuring full compliance across all active projects.
About you
Skills & Experience

- Strong skills in project cost estimation, scheduling, risk management, and resource coordination across overlapping projects.
- A tertiary qualification in project management, capital works, or a related field—or equivalent demonstrated expertise in leading multiple capital projects within a complex organisational environment.
- Deep understanding of civil or technical works and proven ability to lead organisational change through infrastructure projects.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Desirable Experience in infrastructure project delivery within the Vocational Education and Training or Higher Education sectors is highly desirable.
