About the Role 
The Team Leader Workers Compensation plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of a team responsible for managing the workers compensation insurance portfolio and associated risk exposure. This position is essential for delivering operational support and strategically monitoring trends to meet financial targets, ultimately contributing to quality outcomes for our community. 
In this role, you will engage with staff, claimants, and insurance underwriters, ensuring that our services are delivered with the highest standard of customer service. 
Responsibilities 
- Lead a dedicated team managing the workers compensation insurance portfolio. 
- Strategically monitor and analyse workers compensation trends to ensure quality outcomes. 
- Engage with both internal staff and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service. 
- Drive initiatives that align with the Council’s vision and values, enhancing community support. 
Requirements 
- Degree qualification in a relevant field or substantial experience in a similar role. 
- Extensive experience in a self-insured workers compensation environment. 
- Solid understanding of risk management, rehabilitation, and WH&S; practices. 
- Knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation Acts and regulatory guidelines. 
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and conflict resolution.
