About the Team
UTS International supports and implements UTS's international strategy and its broader mission of internationalisation, supporting targets for recruitment of international students, student mobility and partnerships, and providing services to the university. The team is structured around three groups: Compliance, Insights and Relations; Global Engagement; International Business Development and Transnational Education.
This role is based within the Compliance, Insights and Relations team and supports all three groups with their communication needs. The communications team also supports the communication and promotional needs of the Lifetime Learner Experience (LLE) Unit.
About the Role
The Communications Support Officer supports the UTS International communications team with the development of communications and collateral to enhance the university's international profile. The position also provides administrative support to UTS International's communications team.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the development of planned and ad hoc communication material and content (print and digital, including video) for various audiences and stakeholders across a range of channels.
* Undertaking administrative tasks to support various projects and campaigns.
* Supporting the development, creation and maintenance of communication campaigns.
* Interviewing and writing profiles and stories about students, alumni and academics to enhance the UTS profile internationally.
* Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external service providers (translators, subscriber websites, designers) to maximise services and outcomes.
Key selection criteria
* Demonstrated experience in producing content and collateral (print and digital, including video) for various target audiences with differing cultural needs and backgrounds.
* Experience in managing multiple tasks in a fast‐paced environment.
* Experience in building and maintaining professional relationships.
* Understanding of the global trends in internationalisation activities and their impact on international student recruitment.
* Skills in lateral thinking and ability to provide creative solutions to communication issues.
Salary and benefits
Base Salary Range: $77,194 – $82,568 pa (HEW 4). This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of employee benefits including flexible work practices, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.
This position is full‐time and appointment will be made on a fixed‐term basis until 17 July 2027.
