We are seeking a skilled Condition Monitoring Technician – Mobile to join our Mobile Maintenance team and play a key role in supporting equipment reliability across our operations.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Condition Monitoring Technician – Mobile is responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting condition monitoring data to identify early signs of failure in heavy mobile equipment (HME). Using techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis, you will help drive predictive and proactive maintenance practices that reduce downtime and optimise fleet performance.
This role works closely with Reliability Engineers, Planners, Mechanics, Supervisors, and OEM representatives to ensure accurate interpretation of data and effective maintenance interventions.
* Conduct routine condition monitoring activities (vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil sampling)
* Analyse data trends and identify early indicators of equipment failure
* Prepare detailed reports and recommend proactive maintenance actions
* Support Reliability Engineers and Planners with scheduling and defect elimination strategies
* Maintain, calibrate, and manage diagnostic equipment
* Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
* Train and support maintenance personnel on recognising early warning signs
* Ensure all work complies with site safety, WHS, and environmental standards
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Certification
* MPI Level 1 or 2 (required)
* Vibration Analysis, Ultrasonic Testing, or Thermography Certification (desirable)
* Trade qualification (Automotive Mechanical Cert III or equivalent) – desirable
* Minimum 3 years' experience in mining or heavy industry maintenance environments
* Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS/data acquisition systems (AMT, SAP, VIMS, SKF or similar)
* Current unencumbered WA C Class Driver'
