**About the Role**
Join an active team of Consultant Paediatric Infectious Diseases Physicians providing inpatient and outpatient subspecialist infectious diseases care to children cared for by Monash Health
- Support and assist the Head of Paediatric Infectious Diseases, Monash Children's Hospital in the provision of high-quality Infectious Diseases services, consistent with the Monash Health values.
- Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care.
- When on call, be available for urgent consultation and assistance in resuscitation and subsequent management of critically ill or injured patients.
- Provide phone consultation services to external practitioners and health services
- Support academic, research and education (both undergraduate and postgraduate) roles in the Infection and Immunity Department
- Support the Infectious Diseases Unit's outreach services
- Contribute to the professional and corporate life of Monash Health by participation in appropriate committees and fora.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvement and clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible Paediatric Infectious Diseases Services within allocated resources and meets the needs of Monash Health patients.
- Contribute to the related activities of infection control, antimicrobial stewardship and Monash Immunisation as required
- Contribute to the training in Paediatric Medicine including basic and advanced training in Paediatric Infectious Diseases for HMO staff of the Children's Program.

**What you need**
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- FRACP or equivalent College Fellowship
- Specialist Recognition in Paediatric Infectious Diseases (AHPRA or equivalent)
- Working with Children's Check
