**APS6 - Program Manager, Procurement and Contracts**:

The National Library of Australia is seeking fill the important role of **APS6 Program Manager Procurement and Contracts**. This is a great opportunity to hone your procurement and contract management experience in a small agency where you will build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships.
You will provide expert advice and technical knowledge to a range of complex procurement and contract-related activities. You will work with reasonable autonomy and accountability to manage a small team.
You will undertake a range of activities including:
- Assist with the development and improvement of the Library's procurement and contract management framework, including policy, processes, templates, systems and education.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of Library Travel Policy and Procedures.
- Oversee whole of government procurement and contracts for the Library including travel, stationery, and Library contracts such as Mail Services, Legal and Fleet vehicle.
- Assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and implement work plans for the work area including setting tasks and priorities, managing workflow, and allocating resources.
- Develop and manage complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders by working jointly and cooperatively with them to achieve agency objectives.
- Represent the agency by promoting its interests at community and cross-agency levels.
To be suitable for this role, you must:
- Have a minimum of two years' experience working with contract management and/or procurement programs in a public sector environment.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance and be an Australian Citizen.
- Holding a Certificate IV or Diploma in Government (Procurement and Contracting) would be well regarded.
A merit pool may be established from this recruitment activity which may be used to fill similar vacancies at the Library.
