About the Role
Join our Works & Services team as an Engineering Officer (Civil) and play a key role in delivering Council's maintenance and construction programs. This position provides technical support to the District Engineer, including engineering survey services, project management, and assistance with managing contractors and assets. Projects include roads, drainage, footpaths/cycleways, parking areas, traffic facilities, boat ramps, and recreational facilities. Reporting directly to the District Engineer - Northern, the Engineering Officer (Civil) will provide technical support to the District Engineer to deliver Council's maintenance and construction programs; provide engineering survey services (e.g. data collection, setout, WAE) to deliver projects in the works program; conduct project management of projects and contractors as allocated; assist the District Engineer with management of projects, contractors, assets and other related engineering tasks.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
* Diploma in Surveying or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Equivalent qualification and/or experience.
* Extensive related experience in civil engineering design & construction and/or maintenance and provide engineering survey services as required.
* Experience in project management.
* Class C Driver's Licence.
* NSW General Construction induction card (white card) or accepted interstate alternative.
* Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
