Line of Service Advisory Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism Operations Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary The Advisory Operations Manager ensures the day-to-day operations of the Advisory Leadership Team (ALT) run with consistency, discipline, and follow-through. Working in direct partnership with the Chief of Staff, this role owns the operational mechanics; cadence, action tracking, governance, and meeting preparation so that leadership time is focused, productive, and well-supported. This role is the single point of accountability for how the ALT operates, maintaining the source of truth for decisions and commitments, and coordinating execution across the Advisory Leader's Office. Why PwC? At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You'll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential. Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we're building trust and shaping the future. What you'll do: Run the operations of the Advisory Leadership Team (ALT), ensuring leadership forums are well-prepared, structured, and deliver clear outcomes. Own the leadership cadence; coordinating meetings, preparing materials, capturing decisions, and maintaining a clear, accurate record of actions and commitments. Drive execution discipline by tracking progress against priorities, maintaining governance frameworks, and surfacing risks, blockers, and misalignment. Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to translate strategic priorities into structured workflows, ensuring leadership time is focused and productive. Coordinate across the Advisory Leader’s Office (Chief of Staff, Engagement Lead, Transformation Hub, EA) to ensure seamless operations and alignment across activities. Prepare high-quality briefing materials, dashboards, and updates that support effective decision-making. Lead the operational delivery of key leadership moments ( e.g. QBRs, offsites, planning sessions), ensuring they run smoothly from planning through to follow-through. Act as the operational connector across teams, enabling delivery of strategic initiatives and improving ways of working across Advisory. Anticipate needs, identify gaps, and proactively solve problems to keep the Advisory Leader’s Office running effectively. Provide flexible, high-impact support to Advisory Leadership on emerging priorities, as directed by the Chief of Staff. What we're looking for: A highly organised operator with a strong grasp of governance, cadence management, and execution tracking, able to create structure, maintain a single source of truth, and drive follow-through across multiple priorities and stakeholders. Proven experience supporting senior leadership forums or complex operating environments, with the ability to bring discipline to planning, decision-making, and action management. Solid grasp of technology systems ( e.g. M365) with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new tools, including AI, and understand how they can enhance ways of working, streamline operations, and improve productivity. Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesise information, prepare clear and concise materials, and build trusted, professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels. A proactive self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal direction, while also being a collaborative and reliable team player within a high-performing leader’s office. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with a track record of delivering high-quality outputs within realistic timeframes. High level of discretion and judgement when handling sensitive or confidential matters, coupled with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving capability. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, particularly in documentation, reporting, and maintaining institutional knowledge ( e.g. decision logs, action trackers, governance artefacts). Experience identifying and implementing operational improvements, with a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on reducing friction and enhancing efficiency across teams. What you'll gain: The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise. Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work—balancing what's best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together. Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development.
