The Opportunity
We are looking for a Cook/Chef to join our team at Murray Vale Shalem Hostel, a 60-bed aged care facility in Albury.A great opportunity exists, with availability required on weekends, for someone to perform cooking and kitchen duties.
We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility.
What you will bring to the role:
* Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals
* Experience in table service and clearing duties
* Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation – desirable
* Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
* Experience in Aged Care desirable
* Current First Aid Certificate desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Team player who is highly motivated
* Availability to work various shifts across various days
