This is your opportunity to become part of the dedicated Sunraysia Community Health Services team in the beautiful riverside city of Mildura.
This is an exciting prospect for a highly motivated and community-minded Dentist to join us. In this role, you will provide comprehensive oral health services to a diverse patient base, working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Your duties and tasks will be to:
· Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of oral health issues, including disease, trauma and abnormalities of the teeth, gums and surrounding structures, using clinical examinations, X-rays and other modern diagnostic tools.
· Provide preventative dental services such as gum care, fluoride applications and community education programs aimed at improving oral health.
· Carry out restorative treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, orthodontic work and other procedures to repair or replace teeth.
· Undertake surgical interventions where required, including extractions, minor oral surgery and prescribing suitable medication.
· Improve function and aesthetics through the use of fixed and removable dental prostheses.
· Assist in recognising signs of general health conditions that may present with oral symptoms, referring patients as appropriate.
· Promote patient understanding of oral hygiene and long-term preventative care strategies through tailored education.
· Work closely with and provide leadership to the wider dental team, including hygienists, therapists, assistants and other dental professionals, to ensure coordinated and high-quality care.
Skills and qualifications of candidate
· Bachelor of Dental Science or Doctor of Dental Medicine or equivalent and current registration with AHPRA as a Dentist
- Registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- At least 1 year experience.
- Strong competency across all areas of general dentistry.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, patient-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues.
- Experience in leading or mentoring dental staff desirable.
- A positive, proactive outlook with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
