* The newly commissioned Operating Theatre complex consists of two Endoscopy, two General theatres, Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and a Day Surgery Unit.
* Currently functioning in two theatres each day, with an uplift increase to three theatres within the coming months.
* The regional theatres for the Northwest, providing surgical services for minor general, gynaecology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, urology and dental procedures for North and North West.

The Role:

Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

It would be preferable that the successful applicant would holds, or working towards the following:

* Previous perioperative surgery experience highly desirable.
* Holds or is working towards post graduate qualifications in peri operative nursing.

Details of appointment:

Multiple Permanent, full time and part time, day worker position, wo rking up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team!

Multiple fixed term, full time and part time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team until 28 March 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Benefits available to eligible candidates

* Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
* Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
* Professional development and accelerated pathways.
* A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.
* Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.
